BLMP CELEBRATES
5 YEARS
We had a BLAST virtually gathering and celebrating 5 years of building power for Black LGBTQIA+ migrants at our end of the year celebration - BECOMING HOME: TRANSCENDENCE THROUGH TRANSITIONS!
In case you missed it, check out some images from the event below and more performance highlights! Whether or not you were able to make it, we deeply appreciate you showing up to support BLMP over the past 5 years and helping usher us into the next phase of our work and growth.
Thanks to you, we have exceeded our original goal of raising $50,000 for 5 years of BLMP!! Wow, we are so grateful and humbled by the outpouring of support that led us to achieve this with still one month to go before the end of the year.
You helped us reach one goal, and that has supported us to imagine even more expansive resources and abundance for BLMP
we have a new goal to raise $75,000 by December 31!
We are feeling incredibly energized that we can exceed this goal even further for our end of the year closeout.
Will you help us get there?
BLMP builds and centers the power of Black LGBTQIA+ migrants to ensure the liberation of all Black people through community-building, political education, creating access to direct services, and organizing across borders.
We are raising $75,000 to honor 5 years of powerful Black trans, queer, and non-binary migrant organizing.
Another $25,000 will directly support BLMP to provide mutual aid in 2023 to BLMP members in need, as well as fund critical BLMP programming like our Fierce Freedom School – a political education and leadership development program by and for Black trans women and femmes.
